Leading spa professionals trust Eco Smooth, Fashionizer Spa’s newest sustainable fabric

Two years after launching Eco Smooth, sustainable spa uniform specialist Fashionizer Spa is continuing to receive excellent feedback from satisfied customers.

Developed during 2019, Eco Smooth was a natural progression from the company’s much-loved Cotton Performance Fabric. With a silky finish, the latest material combines the benefits of organic cotton (60 per cent) and the durability of ™Newlife PET (37 per cent) with an added touch of Lycra (three per cent). This results in spa uniforms that are not only elegant to look at but also constitute one of the most sustainable uniform options in the market.

Fashionizer Spa says the versatility of the cotton component in Eco Smooth creates strong, breathable, hypoallergenic, comfortable and bio-degradable garments while the organic production process reduces the negative impact on local water quality and biodiversity.

Additionally, ™Newlife PET is a high-performance textile derived from recycled plastic bottles (without any chemical). Its inclusion helps create a high quality fabric – similar to silk and cotton – which complements provides anti-bacterial, moisture controlling and fast drying properties. This allows Fashionizer Spa to manufacture a premium textile which is lightweight, gentle on the skin and practical to launder.

The final thoughtful detail is the addition of high-performance finishes. Fashionizer Spa applies Silverplus®, an anti-bacterial environmentally friendly solution, to help prevent the build-up of odours and help the uniforms to stay fresher for longer.

Debbie Leon, founder and MD of Fashionizer Spa, added: “The clue is in the name. Eco Smooth has an elegant sheen, adding a glamorous finish to the garments. It’s a natural addition to our fabric collection, giving our customers more choice of textures while realising our commitment to reducing environmental impacts.”

Eco Smooth is currently available in an exciting variety of styles and colours with even more designs on their way in the pipeline. Current partners include Nobu Hotels, Aromatherapy Associates, Spa at Maybourne Riviera France, as well as Infinity Group Gibraltar.

“The fit, cut and comfort of our uniforms is incredibly important – we want to look stylish and function easily throughout the day,” comments Kaitlyn McKissick (Morro) of Infinity Group Gibraltar – a partner of the uniform brand.

“Fashionizer Spa’s garments tick all these boxes – customers love to see us looking chic, the design supports our individual shapes, and we appreciate the fact that the team has taken the initiative to create their garments with sustainable fabrics. The age of gorgeous and ethical uniforms is here.”
